Ariana Grande Returns to Manchester for Charity Concert
“Music is meant to heal us, to bring us together, to make us happy.”
After a recent suicide bomb attack Ariana Grande decides to not sit in fear and give back instead. She returns to Manchester this sunday for a charity concert.
She spoke about the healing power of music in hopes of bringing the love back to Manchester. “When you look into the audience at my shows, you see a beautiful, diverse, pure, happy crowd. Thousands of people, incredibly different, all there for the same reason, music. Music is something that everyone on Earth can share. Music is meant to heal us, to bring us together, to make us happy.”
The benefit concert will support Manchester Arena bombing victims’ families and take place at the Old Trafford cricket ground and support. Grande will also be joined by additional guest performers Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Coldplay, Pharrell and more. Proceeds will go to the We Love Manchester emergency fund. A live stream of the event will be available BBC.
