AT&T And Sprint Reach Settlement Over 5GE
The battle of the phone giants is over, for now.
It seems like two of the leaders within the communication industry have reached an amicable agreement. Sprint filed a lawsuit against AT&T, claiming they were deceiving customers by having 5GE appear, when in reality it wasn’t that much of an upgrade from 5G. “We have amicably settled this matter,” a spokesperson told The Business Journal over an email.
“The significance of AT&T’s deception cannot be overstated,” Sprint said. “Calling its network ‘5GE’ does not make it a 5G network and instead deceives customers into believing it is something that it is not.” Both phone companies have yet to reach the 5GE or next level of network finish line.
