Cardi B Surpasses Beyoncé on Billboard Charts
How are we feeling Beyhive?
Since the release of her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, it seems as Cardi B can’t stop winning. Since her debut, she’s gained a massive following, which explains why her debut album earned 100 million album streams in her first week and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. At this point, Cardi B seems unstoppable.
Now, she can add yet another achievement to her list. However, this one might make the Beyhive pretty upset. But if we’re all about women empowerment, there’s no reason why we can’t uplift Cardi, right? I mean Beyoncé is all about girl power anyway. So, I’ll get to it now, Cardi B just surpassed Beyoncé with the highest number of songs by a solo female act charting on the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously. Beyonceé held the record in 2016, after 12 songs off her latest album, Lemonade, were posted on the chart. Cardi also has 12 songs charting from her album but her feature on Bruno Mars’ “Finesse (Remix)” was just enough to put her over the top with 13 appearances in total.
The record holder for the highest amount of songs charting across all genders is no one other than the 6 God himself, Drake–with a massive 24 songs charting all at the same damn time. The highest charting song for Cardi currently stands at number eight and it’s the bilingual hit “I Like It,” in which she is assisted by Latin stars J. Balvin and Bad Bunny. The lowest is “Money Bag” at number 58. The only song on Invasion of Privacy not to chart is “Best Life,” featuring Chance The Rapper.
Congrats to Cardi B on yet another milestone accomplishment, hopefully, the Beyhive doesn’t go after her!
