A lot of us may be in college or just simply low on money. We still want to have a good time with our friends regardless of whats in our bank account. Well you can still take your friends to some of the coolest places in LA, and guess what? They are all free!

Mt. Hollywood Trail

Ever thought it would be cool to get close to the Hollywood sign? Well now you can. It is around a three mile hike to see the legendary sign. It is located above and behind the Griffith Observatory which you will also read on the list. The hike is not strenuous and focuses more on scenery. You and your friends will have a great time seeing LA in a totally different on the Mt. Hollywood Trail.

On top of that it as well has a great view of the Hollywood sign. You can your friends can have access to all of the free telescopes as well to take a peak at the area views of LA. This is a destination for all to see and also a great learning experience as well.

Olvera Street

You can bee immersed in the Mexican culture with this free attraction. Olvera street is known to be “the birthplace of Los Angeles.” The street is a Mexican marketplace filled with things to do. You and your friends can shop, listen to mariachis, watch traditional dances, and of course eat authentic Mexican food. Of course some of those include money, but to have a good time all you really need to do is be there. You can window shop for hours and just be apart of this historic attraction. You all can also visit LA’s oldest house and other historic locations such as the Old Plaza Church & Firehouse.

What better place to go with your friends than the Korean Bell of Friendship! The Republic of Korea donated the intricately-decorated bell and pavilion in 1976 to the people of Los Angeles, to honor veterans of the Korean War, to celebrate the bicentennial of the U.S. independence, and to unify the friendship between the two countries. With a history like that it is a great place to take your friends and makes for some pretty cool picture. Since it is located in San Pedro you can get a breathtaking view of the pacific ocean as well!
