‘House of Cards’ Starts up Production on Final Season
Will you be tuning in for the series final season?
The hit Netflix original House of Cards is back in production. The series will move forward with a new lead in Robin Wright, while there’s been no mention of who might fill the gap for Kevin Spacey’s character.
Netflix stopped production on the political drama amid series’ lead Kevin Spacey’s sexual misconduct and assault accusations. The network quickly cut all ties with Spacey, who was also accused of using racial slurs on set, halting production on the hit show.
As the show has resumed production, Hollywood heavy hitters Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear are set to join the cast alongside Wright in the upcoming eight-episode season, according to Variety
There aren’t that many details in the rumor mill about the specifics of Lane and Kinnear’s roles. However, it seem they appear as siblings.
Bringing in A-List actors seems to be Netflix’ band-aid on a very messy situation.
