HTC’s Latest Phone Let’s You Squeeze for a Selfie
Taking photos on your phone just gets easier and easier.
HTC’s latest flagship phone the U11 will let users squeeze the phone for different interactions with the device. You can assign a simple press and a long press for different stuff. Assign the simple press to your camera app and it’ll open it right up, give it another gentle squeeze and you’ll be snapping a selfie as easy as that. You can also leave them blank if you’re worried you squeeze your phone too much and don’t want it to do anything. This is a pretty neat feature though, making it easier to do already simple things.
That isn’t all the U11 can do. The cameras are pretty high up there with a 12-megapixel rear end camera and a 16-megapixel front end camera your selfies will be all lit. Another feature is the HTC USonic. Many users will notice the absence of a headphone jack. The bottom is mainly just the USB-C port for charging. This is because HTC wants users to heavily use the headphones they put in-box that is USB-C compatible, but aux cord users don’t fret, a dongle will also be included. Also with the room given by the removed headphone jack, HTC was able to upgrade the HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition speakers.
HTC U11 is also the first flagship phone that will come with a word wake Alexa built-in. Ask Alexa how’s the weather today or have it turn on your living room lights if your devices are all connected. Currently, the Alexa voice services will only be available in the United States, U.K., and Germany.
