HBO debuted J.Cole’s latest documentary ‘4 Your Eyez Only’ Friday night. The film revolved around the behind the scenes work that was put into Cole’s latest album. Cole teased a new track in the documentary where he questions religion in today’s society. “God is real and he’s using me for a bigger purpose / so fuck the world that would have you think that a nigga worthless / sometimes I think that these verses can help a person way more than the ones they reading in churches on days of worship / no disrespect to the Lord and Savior that ain’t just ego/I just observed that those words no longer relate to people,” Cole raps.

Pitchfork points out that just before releasing ‘4 Your Eyez Only’- Cole dropped a 40 minute visual titled Eyez last year. It gave fans a glimpse into the tracks “Everybody Dies” and “False Prophets”. Also- back in January of 2016, Cole shared his first HBO special based on his 2014 Forest Hills Drive. Scott Lazer has directed all three.
