JAY Z Plays “Numb/Encore” in Memory of Chester Bennington
The music world is still shook from the tragic suicide of Linkin Park’s frontman Chester Bennington, with tributes to the singer continuing to pour in from fans and artists alike. JAY-Z is the latest voice to honor the artist, performing “Numb/Encore” at his set at V Festival over the weekend.
JAY-Z and Linkin Park of course were former collaborators, uniting on their hugely successful joint EP Collision Course. The song “Numb/Encore” was one of the project’s highlights, as it went on to win a Grammy award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration shortly after. “Linkin Park, one time, tonight. Please make some noise so he can hear you all the way in heaven tonight!” JAY tells the crowd in the clip.
