Jermaine Dupri is setting up for a major 2018, as the So So Def founder celebrates the pioneering hip-hop label’s 25th anniversary this summer.

The project will be dropping through Legacy Recordings’ Certified Classics imprint and will contain smash hits, iconic remixes, and deep cuts from So So Def’s roster from the last quarter century.

Monica’s “The First Night,” launched So So Def Records in 1993 following the success of another song he wrote and produced: the Kris Kross hit “Jump.” The groundbreaking label, became the home of platinum-selling acts such as the female R&B group Xscape, female rapper Da Brat, Jagged Edge and of course Bow Wow.

In other news about his accomplishments, Dupri will also become the second Hip-Hop act following Jay-Z to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame this summer.
