Kendrick Lamar Reveals That He Rapped an Hour Straight to Prove His Worth to Top Dawg
“He probably won’t admit it, but Top didn’t get Kendrick early on.”
In a recent interview with Billboard, TDE revealed that they didn’t let Kendrick Lamar in that easily. “He probably won’t admit it, but Top didn’t get Kendrick early on,” said TDE co-president Terrence “Punch” Henderson. During Kung-Fu Kenny’s first meeting with his record label he hit the booth for an hour straight just rapping. TDE further revealed that this wasn’t the only time Kendrick had to prove his worth. Eminem had gotten word that he was the best rapper and called him over to his studio. Kendrick came over with his posse but Eminem wanted proof that there was no ghost writer. Kendrick Lamar has come a long way with multiple grammys, chart toppers, and platinum certified albums.
