Los Angeles Has Now Declared That August 24 is a Kobe Holiday
Kobe Bryant Day.
Kobe Bryant, also known as the Black Mamba, doesn’t fail to show us why he is the G.O.A.T. From his extraordinarily skills on the court, to landing his own holiday, Bryant is the epitome of success after dedication and determination. He’s damn near like Santa Claus now–just not sure if Santa could serve on a basketball court.
All in all, retirement has been extremely well for Black Mamba. On Monday, the L.A. City Council announced that this Wednesday will be known as “Kobe Bryant Day.” The date was brought together after considering the two jersey numbers he wore as a Laker: 8 and 24. Now, isn’t that the sweetest birthday gift that anyone could receive?
The city’s councilman, Jose Huizar, stated that “Kobe Bryant Day is the City of Los Angeles’ way of thanking him for his single-minded dedication to excellence, the fans and the entire City and region of Los Angeles. For 20 years, we were all the beneficiaries of Kobe’s incredible talent and legendary work ethic, and on 8/24 we’ll gather to say, “‘Thank you, Mamba.'”
