Lyft Adds “Taco Mode” Feature to Satisfy Your Late Night Cravings
In collaboration with Taco Bell.
Taco Bell recently announced they will be joining forces with transportation service, Lyft, for a cool new feature. Starting Thursday, “Taco Mode” will be available for Lyft riders, a feature that allows the rider to press a button signaling the driver to take them to the nearest Taco Bell drive thru to satisfy their late night munchies. “Taco Mode” will only be available from 9pm to 2am which apparently isn’t even statistically a problem. Taco Bell’s CMO Marisa Thalberg stated-
“We realized that for every person who has asked their Lyft driver to make a pit-stop at Taco Bell — and we’ve seen many — there are likely those who weren’t sure if this was possible. With the advent of this fantastic partnership with Lyft, we will erase any lingering uncertainty and celebrate the ability to ‘ride-thru’ in Taco Mode”
The feature is set to launch in Orange County, California from July 27-29 and August 3-5 for testing. By 2018, expect to be able to use the feature everywhere.
