The Nintendo Switch Announces Online Subscription Services
Xbox and Playstation have a new competitor in online subscription arena.
After over a year of speculation, Nintendo has finally revealed exactly when in 2018 its Nintendo Switch online service will be launched in a recent tweet.

September should be an exciting month for gamers as the hybrid console’s online subscription service will only cost $3.99 for a one-month membership, $7.99 for three months, or $19.99 per year. Although the games do not necessarily compare to Xbox Live or Playstation Network, subscription rates are reasonably lower than these two as they charge $9.99 for one month, $24.99 for three, and $59.99 for a twelve-month service.
Voice chat and online lobby features won’t be available through the system itself. These will be accessed through a separate Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app that launched last summer.
Nintendo also intends to provide players with an expanding archive of classic titles, ranging from Mario Bros to Punch-Out!!, which will remain accessible as long as you have an active membership.
