StockX Launches Charity IPO with the Wu-Tang Clan
“Wu-Tang is for the children!”
StockX, the world’s first online “stock market of things” for high-demand consumer products, today announced the launch of StockX Charity IPOs, a charity initiative called C.R.E.A.M (Charity Rules Everything Around Me) aimed at partnering with the world’s biggest celebrities for the world’s most important causes.
Wu-Tang Clan has become the first celebrity group to partner with the company which will raise funds by selling exclusive, or rare merchandise to fans offering covetable prizes for Wu heads like Ghosteface’s signed Wu-Wear hoodie, Masta Killa’s worn and signed Clarks Wallabees, DJ Mathematics signed and used Traktor Z2 mixer, and a lot more.
Funds raised will directly benefit the Wu-Tang Foundation, which supports children from marginalized and neglected areas.Fans who make $10 donations have the chance to win autographed clothes and accessories from RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah and others. With this latest partnership, Wu-Tang hopes to spread their charity’s outreach while giving back to the fans as well.
Last year StockX hosted three charity initiatives which raised almost $700 thousand for six different charities including Houston’s Hurricane Relief, Detroit-based children’s funds, and Eminem’s Marshall Mathers Funds raising nearly 200,000 with the re-release of his highly coveted Jordan 4 Encore.
