Wu-Tang Clan District Arrives to Staten Island
The Wu-Tang Clan has pioneered music and the rap scene since the ’90s. Now, all of their hard work and dedication is being celebrated in New York. Staten Island dedicated an entire district commemorating the rap group. Councilwoman Debi Rose shared her respects for Wu-Tang and their legacy.
“The Wu-Tang Clan District is a celebration of their inspiration to the world — and a celebration of their home, Shaolin,” she expressed. “The Wu-Tang Clan turned their experiences growing up here into something that now resonates with people all over the world, with young people who live in urban settings, young people whose neighborhoods are underserved, young people who face economic and social challenges.”
